Trial

Thinking about joining Water Polo, but want to try it out before committing?   We offer a two-week trial for those athletes interested in trying water polo before committing.  The trial will allow prospective athletes to meet our coaches, meet our athletes, practice a few drills, and participate in some scrimmages.  The trial is open to all interested and prospective athletes who have not previously participated in a water polo trial with a club registered with Water Polo Canada. You may try anytime between September and April.  The trial cost is $20 for a two-week period and will be applied towards registration fees should the athlete join the club that season.

WP4’s

This program is for youth 18 and under who wish to continue to develop their water polo skills and play in a fun recreational setting.

Athletes participating in this program will be geared for those looking to participate in Water Polo 4’s (WP4’s).  WP4’s is a fast-paced version of four-on-four water polo allowing athletes to refine their skills.

Note that this is not intended for those looking to compete in a high-performance league.  The primary purpose of this league is to provide programming to youth aged athletes that have no previous competition experience or who do not wish to train and compete in Water Polo Canada’s National Championships League.  For those looking for competitive programs, they would move to either the Calgary Renegades Water Polo Club or Calgary Torpedoes Water Polo Club programs. We encourage youth of all levels and experiences (including new athletes) to join in this program who are looking for a recreational water polo program.

Players registered with this program will participate in City League and Alberta Water Polo’s WP4’s Youth 18U League.
